Tatneft’s conformity to ISO and OHSAS standards confirmed by independent auditors

In September, a group of top auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification disclosed the results of its recertification audit of the conformity of Tatneft’s integrated system of management of industrial and health safety and environmental protection to the international standards of ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. Specifically, the independent auditing was carried out in the company’s headquarters, Almetyevneft Oil and Gas Production Management and Bugulminsky Mechanical Plant.

The positive results of the random inspections were announced by Alexander Nasonov, the head of the auditing group at Bureau Veritas Certification, at the final meeting with heads of the companies’ directorates, departments and divisions covered in the inspections.

Based on the results of numerous interviews with these employees and their findings from inspections of companies’ documents, the auditors unanimously recommended that Tatneft’s system of industrial safety management be recertified as conforming to international standards. “We have seen a very strong company that is radically differs in several aspects from other companies that we had audited before,” Nasonov noted. Tatneft’s prudent attitude to management, its high efficiency, and above all, its employees, who are highly professionals in their fields, really set it apart from other companies.”

Founded in 1828, and currently based in Antwerp, Belgium, Bureau Veritas Certification is the world’s leading certification company in eight economic spheres: marine, inspections and in-service verification, health safety and environmental protection, construction, certification, consumer products, government services and international trade.
