Luxury boutique hotel to replace former MN editorial building

One more gem asset on Tverskaya

A nine-floor, five-star, 110-room top-of-the market hotel will soon spring on the spot currently occupied by the former Moscow News (MN) editorial office on Tverskaya Ul. According to Alexander Vainshtein, the initiator of the project and owner of the MN building, the initial plan was to build a three-star property that will offer accommodations for $100 per day, but the appetite of the investors rose so high during the approval process that it was finally decided to build a modern boutique hotel in the highest-price category.

Although, the process is still in the approval stage, it is already clear that the intentions of the investors behind this project on Moscow’s main street, right in the hearts of the capital, are more than serious, especially taken into consideration the fact that four world class, five-star hospitality properties are already located in close proximity to one another on this street.

Indeed, one can gauge the investors’ ambitions by the sheer area of the new hotel, expected at 14,300sqm, or twice the current area of the editorial building that will be demolished for its construction, an underground parking for 86 vehicles, while the building’s height, expected at nine floors, will certainly eclipse all the real-estate properties in the area.
