Deceuninck Rus CEO bags best manager award and inclusion in president’s staff reserve

Last month, Deceuninck Rus CEO Volker Guth was awarded the Best Manager of Russia golden sign and got included in the management personnel reserve system being compiled under the auspices of the Russian president. The award was presented to Guth by Alexander Popov, a State Duma legislator and deputy chairman of the State Duma Commission on Mandate Affairs and Deputies’ Ethics.

The honor, granted by the Russian Public Commission, is meant to show public recognition of the moral and business authority of Russian best managers. Contenders for the honorary title are nominated by the Russian federal and local government organs, companies’ staffs, public associations, institutions and organizations, irrespective of their form of ownership.

The golden sign awardees were honored at the Federation Council as a part of the Strategy-2009 First Forum of the Best Managers of Russia. The forum’s objectives included the discussion of the most important problems facing Russian top business executives and their possible solutions, as well as work out recommendations for the Russian president, federal government and parliament that could be included in the president’s State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly, new bills and practical development plans. Thus, the CEOs, with hands-on expertise, who participated in the forum, will be able to influence the government’s policies and strategies via their recommendations.
