Swissotel Krasnye Holmy was voted “Russia’s Leading Hotel” by the World Travel Association (WTA) in one of the world’s comprehensive travel trade polls. The award was received by the hotel General Manager Jan Chovanec and its PR & Corporate Communications Manager Tamara Afonina at WTA Awards’ European regional ceremony that took place on October 17 in the Marriott Praia D’El Rey in Portugal.
Commenting on the honor at the ceremony, Chovanec noted it was the third time in a row that Swissotel Krasnye Holmy has received the title of “Russia’s Leading Hotel. “I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for maintaining our brand quality of service and for caring and attentive attitude to our guests.”
The event featured almost 1,500 travel companies nominated in 177 categories. Speaking at the ceremony, WTA President Graham Cooke noted that the past 12 months have brought several challenges in the traveling industry, namely the economic downturn and the outbreak of swine flu, which have impacted travel and tourism worldwide. “However, today’s winners have remained focused on their long term objectives, and continued to deliver above and beyond the call of duty, setting an industry example.”
