Stimulation of Innovation 

Speaking at a March Cabinet meeting on tax policies for 2011-2013, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said his government was ready to retain the rate of insurance deposits for innovative enterprises at last year's level of 14% and considerably expand the list of industries, where companies that are actively adopting innovative decisions, can use special privileges. “This is because for innovative enterprises, even a small increase in taxes can have critical implications. Also, additional incentives will be made available to companies that are using energy-effective equipment.”
