Don Plaza, one of the key players in the Rostov regional hotel business, has announced plans to create an eponymous federal hotel network by adding other investors’ 3- and 4-star business and congress hotels and 4-star mini-hotels to the hotels under its management. The policy will increase the company’s portfolio by extra 5-10 new hotels across Russia by the end of the year.
According to the company management, these plans are aimed, first and foremost, at southern Russia, though cooperation with other regions will also be considered. “This strategy is dictated by the market, as Don Plaza has proved itself as a strong brand on the hospitality market. The owners of hotels have repeatedly asked us to take their objects under our management,” Don Plaza Board Chairman Igor Gorin said.
Besides, the company plans to complete the construction of a 5-star, 220-room hotel, to be branded Hyatt Regency Don-Plaza Rostov, the first top-class asset in the city, by 4th quarter of 2011.
