The winners of the competition, “The Best Companies in the Moscow Region’s Tourist Industry in 2009,” were named and awarded the regional governor’s prizes last month. In all, 28 companies took part in event. Thus, the first place in the nomination, The Best Hotel with less than 50 Rooms,” was taken by the Domodedov-based Atlas Park Hotel, while the Noginsky-based natural resort Yakhonty was second and the Istra region-based Avantel Club Istra was third.
The analogous prizes among hotels with less than 50 rooms went to the Kolomna-based 40-Meridian Hotel (1st), Sergievo-Posad-based Gallery Hotel (2nd) and the Serpukhov-based Drakino sports and entertainment park (3rd). The winners in the rest houses nomination was Pokrovskoye Vacation Retreat, while the Solnechnegorsky region-based Istra Holiday came first in the countryside hotels category.
