UralSib, Mastercard and Aeroflot launch travelers bank credit cards

The UralSib Bank in collaboration with the national airliner, Aeroflot, and Mastercard in March announced their launch of special travelers’ bank credit cards.

Explaining the essence of the program at a press conference, UralSib Bank Deputy CEO Ilya Filatov noted that such cards, which can be denominated in rubles, dollars or euros, will enable holders to receive 1,000  ‘salutatory bonus miles’ in the Aeroflot Bonus program, and also additional extra mile for every 25 rubles spent from the card. “This card will not be similar to the traditional premium-class market product as it will include a premium insurance policy for those traveling abroad with the limit of liability exceeding 130,000 euros. This will include an expanded variant of insurance for all sorts of risks, including those connected with extreme sporting activities.”

Besides, the card policy also provides coverage for such common traveling risks as luggage losses and flight delays, Filatov added. “The card holders will also receive other privileges, including access to airports’ VIP halls under the Priority Pass programs,” he added. “From the point of view of banking services, we are offering all the opportunities that are the available today in this industry for these card holders. We do not exclude the possibility of developing a similar cards product for lower-incomes segment for those, who travel and spend less.”
