IBA and OPORA Rossii set platform for deepening Russian-Indian business ties

The Indian Business Alliance (IBA) and OPORA Rossii last month held a Russian-Indian Business Dialog aimed at finding new opportunities for deepening the existing bilateral business ties between the two countries. The Indian side was led by IBA President Sammy Kotwani and CEOs of Indian companies in Russia, while OPORA Rossii was represented by the organization’s president, Sergei Borisov, and his deputies.

The forum’s guest speakers, which included top Russian and Indian investors, touched on such topics as mutual investments, realization of Russian-Indian joint investment projects and exchanges of experiences accumulated by both parties in the field of SME development. Kotwani in his opening speech emphasized the necessity for more active expansion of business contacts between countries, while Borisov called on Russian CEOs to more actively adopt Indians’ progressive experiences in commercialization of business projects.
