Last month, and almost after three years of reconstruction, the legendary Moscow Ukraina Hotel, which will henceforth operate under the new name, Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow, was finally opened to the public. The new owners have preserved the exteriors, whilst completely refurbishing the interiors of the hotel building, which is one of the famous ‘seven Stalin skyscrapers in Moscow. Today, the hotel offers 506 luxurious rooms, 38 apartments and lots of other novelties. Besides, the hotel will also accommodate five restaurants, modern conference center and wellness club with a 50-meter long swimming pool.
The property is owned by company Kiev Square, which belongs to Zarakh Iliev and God Nisanov, who also own the European Shopping Mall and Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow. The partners also plan to begin the construction of a five-star hotel in Moscow to be managed by Four Seasons and two three-star hotels — near the Yugo-Zapadanya and Voikovskaya metro stations in Moscow — that will be operated by the Rezidor Hotel Group. In all, the duo is expected to invest about $1.5bln over the next two years in hospitality projects in the capital.
