Astrus Hotel’s thematic retro party takes guests to Soviet era

Nostalgia for Soviet Epoch
Last month, the management of the Astrus-Central Tourist House hotel organized a fun-fair ‘retro’ party, titled, “Farewell, Sovok!” featuring Soviet-era thematic for visitors and partners. The word ‘sovok’ refers to everything ‘Soviet,’ and this theme ran through the whole evening as the guests were ‘initiated into pioneerhood’ at the hotel entrance, made to don the Soviet Pioneers’ traditional red ties and were ushered under the Soviet-era Zorki song into the venue of the ceremony on the hotel’s legendary 33rd floor, where memorable party took place.
The best hits from the 1980s, live performances by the group, Aleshkin’s Love, and clinking of glasses filled with champagne guaranteed the right mood for the guests for the evening. Some of the highlights of the party included an excursion to the hotel’s renovated rooms, numerous competitions and lottery draws, where the participants received souvenirs with the hotel’s paraphernalia and two main prizes: A weekend in the hotel and a Dinner for two persons in the hotel.
Before the concert kicked off, Tatiana Gladkov, the hotel’s sales manager, took the stage to welcome the guests and briefly highlighted the innovations underway in the hotel and its plans for the near future. After this, the curtain to the Sirius hall, where the event took place, was opened. “Very soon, the hall, where are today, will make a history. “This is the changes that will take place in this room will alter the concept and atmosphere of a room as it will accommodate a unique panoramic restaurant,” Gladkov noted. “We are convinced that it will generate demand both from our visitors and visitors to the Russia capital.”
