Gryzlov opts for a deadly political slogan against rivals for upcoming elections

Addressing an expanded session of the Central Council of the pro-Kremlin United Russia Party supporters in May, Boris Gryzlov, the speaker of the Russian State Duma and chairman of the party’s Supreme Council, said he had an unusual slogan that he planned to use in conducting the party’s election campaigns for this autumn’s common voting day. “On one of my previous election campaigns I went with the ‘Boris Gryzlov bite the goats’ slogan. I think it is time to use this slogan again.” He has attributed the reasons to reverting to this ‘cannibalistic slogan’ to the necessity to counteract the ongoing amplification of attacks against his party.
