Rich mysterious woman becomes Sberbank’s single largest individual shareholder

Invisible Stakeholder

A mysterious lady, by name Oksana Ozornina, has become the largest individual private shareholder of Sberbank after doubling her stake in the nation’s largest financial organization within a year, Bella Zlatkis, the bank’s deputy CEO, said. “This is a rich woman, as her share of 0.9% of the bank’s share is currently valued at about 15bln rubles. “She does not want to reveal her identity publicly and does not live in Moscow.” However, some media, using indirect data, have put forward some hypotheses that help throw some light on the hidden identity of Sberbank’s new multibillionaire shareholder.

Thus, according to the Internet-based news agency Ura.ru, the mysterious lady could be the wife of Nikolai Maximov, the billionaire owner of Maxi Group, whose wife also goes by the same name. According to other public data, Maximov and an unidentified partner had over the course of last year significantly boosted their equity stakes in Sberbank. Thus, the speculation is that this mysterious lady could, by all indications, be the unnamed partner in the multibillion deal.
