Moscow close to concluding agreement on hosting F1 Race Championship by 2012

F-One Championship


Moscow authorities hope to hold the Russian stage of the Formula-One Championship in the city in 2012. Today, the design of the track, developed in cooperation with Herman Tilke, the architect of all F1 tracks, is ready. “The Length of the Moscow track will be 4.42km and will be laid in the city center and is expected to be the fastest track in cities with a track average speed exceeding 220 km/h,” Moscow Advertisement Committee Chairman Vladimir Makarov said. “We hope our government will support this project, so that we can hold an F1 stage in Moscow in 2012.”
