Russian communists leader sees only benefits in three of Slavic states union

Slavic Union

Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov has said the merging of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus will not only be favorable to the troika’s economies, but will also increase their ability to more successfully compete with other countries.

“If we pull our potentials together, then we shall become more important subjects of world history. This is why I have always persistently called on the authorities of these countries to do everything in their powers to restore our broken links,” he added. “For me, the unification of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus is a strategic issue,” he continued, adding that “the dissolution of the Soviet Union was a common tragedy for the three nations.”
