Sodexo offering real French quality business services in Russia

Today, Sodexo is one of the world’s leading top-quality services providers in the fields of corporate catering, facility management, remote sites operations, and also in the sphere of service vouchers and cards. Edi Perisic, the CEO of Sodexo in Russia, recently talked to TRCW on the company’s activities in the country and its future plans for further development of its operations on this market.

About Sodexo’s activities on the Russian market

Our company was founded by Pierre Bellon in France in 1966, and now it is present in 80 countries worldwide, where it manages over 33,900 sites. We started our business in Russia in 1993 with the opening of a small representative office in Moscow, and today, the company now has branches in 17 Russian cities. Due to our appropriately chosen and well-thought-out marketing strategy, Sodexo has been developing successfully on the Russian market.

About its client-orientated policy

Sodexo pays huge attention to the requests and needs of its client companies and their employees. We constantly expand the range of our services. France is historically associated all over the world with style, quality and, of course, with exquisite cuisine, an image, which we always do our best to maintain. In the field of catering, we have created interesting marketing programs and frequently treat our clients to days of national cuisine. Everyday, one can taste real French dishes and deserts in our restaurants. It is also very important for us to create a pleasant atmosphere of warmth and comfort in Sodexo restaurants. In the field of facility management services, we offer our clients maximally flexible solutions meeting their business needs. We are constantly working on our relations with clients by assessing which areas and how our services could help them in their business.

About Sodexo’s position on business’ corporate and social responsibility

Sodexo adopts and implements socially responsible business principles in its operations all over the world. Our work is based on the principles of trust, honesty and respect for people. Thanks to such approach, we have managed to win the trust of thousands of corporate clients and millions of end consumers across the world. With respect to Russia, our company carries out its activities in full compliance with the local legislations, and it does this by being a responsible taxpayer, employer and also reliable business partner.

“Sodexo adopts and implements socially responsible business principles in its operations all over the world.”

About the company’s social and charity programs

We have in the course of the company’s over 40-year history accumulated broad experience in the field of execution of social projects.  In the several countries of its presence, Sodexo runs  Stop Hunger program, a charitable project aimed at fighting hunger and malnutrition in the world. We do not only involve our employees in this program, but also our clients, partners and suppliers as well. In Russia, this program started in the spring of 2007. Moscow was the first city, but today, the program is working in Saint Petersburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, Sayanogorsk, Bratsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Last year, the program was declared “The best project that has made the most contribution to the promotion and development of charity culture in Russian society.” The honor was awarded to the company within the framework of a study, titled, “Corporate Charity in Russia,” which was carried out by the Vedomosti daily newspaper in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Donors Forum. We see this victory as a great achievement for our company, especially, taking into consideration the fact that the Stop Hunger program only started operating in Russia in 2007.

On the company’s plans for expansions of its business operations in Russia

We are fully focused on the further development of our operations in Russia. Every year, our company broadens its presence on the Russian market by increasing the number of its clients and partners. Today, our clients include large Russian and international companies, and we are very proud of the cooperation that we have established with these companies. Productive bilateral relationships between France and Russia have always been based on the principles of mutual respect and trust and have never been restricted to just trade and economic activities. Indeed, the cultural tides between our countries have a rich and long history. But in recent years, these ties have been actively and seriously strengthened further, and this, in turn, has favorably impacted on the development of our businesses. This financial year has been quite successful for Sodexo, and we hope that our company will also continue to successfully and dynamically develop its businesses in Russia, offering its clients the real French quality services in all its operations in this country.
