Badge of Shame

Igor Lebedev, the head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, and other party members, have proposed putting ‘a special indelible label’ in a form of letter ‘K,’ from the Russian word for corruption, on the back of bribe takers’ palms. “Bribery is becoming more and more diverse. Therefore, the presence of such a permanent ‘badge of shame’ will tell people that such citizens have been convinced of corruption, and this will enable employers to deny them employments in decent organizations.”
