Eduard Khudainatov, the president of oil major Rosneft, who took over at the helms of the company at the beginning of September, has acquired 300,000 shares of the company, or 0.0028% of its chartered capital. Khudainatov, who was previously Rosneft’s first vice president, had never owned shares in the company. By this step, he just followed the footsteps of his predecessor, Sergei Bogdanchikov, who owned 0.0012% of shares by the time of his dismissal in September.
According to the MICEX’s data, a Rosneft share at the end of September, when Khudainatov made the acquisition, cost 202.04 rubles, thus putting the stake value at 60.6mln rubles. Commenting on his acquisition, Khudainatov noted that investment of personal finances in Rosneft was an issue of priority for him as the company’s CEO. “This is because I know the company very well and I’m confident of its huge potential.”
