Russia, compared with other countries, has survived the present global crisis with minimal losses, thanks to the government’s s anti-recessionary program and execution of key reforms which helped support the financial system and real economic sector, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in Berlin, whilst addressing the representatives of the western business establishment at an economic forum.
All these measures, Putin noted, have yielded positive results, evident in the gradual, but confident growth of Russia’s economy. “Specifically, today, our GDP is over 1trln euro, and growing annually by 50bln-70bln euros,” he said. “To maintain these positive tendencies, the government will consistently continue to maintain favorable business environment and other initiatives. Particularly, we are working on the liquidation of bureaucratic barriers in economy.”
