Last month, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin paid an official visit to Seoul, where he discussed with South Korean capital authorities issues of strategic importance for deepening bilateral cooperation between the two capitals and their countries.
“Seoul and Moscow are linked by 20-year of friendship and dynamically positive partnership relations. For instance, trade turnover has grown by 16% in last year, while the volume of investments has grown by over 10 times,” the mayor added. “Moscow currently faces serious problems, such as traffic jams.
Seoul has consistently solved this problem over the past several years. In my opinion, it has largely been successful.” Sobyanin noted that his delegation was interested in seeing how such issues as urban development, intellectual management and creation of an electronic government are being handled in Seoul.
