Last month, federal investigators came to the Inteko, a holding belonging to Elena Baturina, the wife of ex-Moscow mayor, which has lost its informal ‘untouchable’ status following the sacking of her husband.

The regime change has brought lots of problems for Baturina. The investigators said the search warrant was a part of ongoing investigations of the Russian Land Bank and Bank of Moscow, which allegedly took part in granting a 13bln ruble credit that later ended up in Baturina’s personal accounts.

Inteko press secretary has denied all charges, saying all financial transactions were done on legal grounds.
