Central Bank’s current ‘blacklisted bankers' database holds almost 200 names

Bank Purification

The Russian Central Bank (CB) has added 195 names to its so-called ‘database of ‘blacklisted bankers’ ineligible to hold senior positions in any Russian financial institutions. According to Mikhail Sukhov, the director of the CB’s Licensing and Financial Institutions Sanitation Department, the database contains names of bank executives, whose licenses had been revoked and/or are under prohibitive measures, as well as members of banks’ BoD members, whose activities have led to bankruptcies of their banks. “After five years, information about such bankers is deleted from the database.”
