Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Ivanovo Region Gov. Mikhail Men have signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation for 2011-13. Commenting on the penned document, the governor stressed that the agreement is aimed at preserving all the existing accords. “Everything that formed the base of our ongoing partnership with Moscow will remain intact, while work on further development of our bilateral cooperation will continue.”
From his part, the mayor noted the long-standing business relations between Moscow and Ivanovo, specifically highlighting the fruitful cooperation in the agro sector. “Ivanovo ranks third highest supply of dairy products in the CFD.”
Meanwhile, an annual exhibition of textile enterprises from the Ivanovo Region has been held within the frameworks of this cooperation, and with the support of the Moscow government in the capital since 2009. In 2011, over 36 Ivanovo Region companies took part in the exhibition.
