One More WTO Promise

Last month, Russian and U.S. presidents ‘compared notes’ on the progress achieved on their countries’ broad agenda on bilateral cooperation, including Russia’s WTO membership bid negotiations. Both sides noted with satisfaction that the impulses injected into the agenda have contributed to the significant progress on the WTO negotiations, the Kremlin Press Service said. “Specifically, both leaders noted that the priority of Russia gaining WTO membership before the end of the year remains on track.” Consequently, the leaders exchanged views on further steps to encourage and coordinate their efforts in this direction.
