Kremlin's 'Strategy 2020' meeting focuses on possible growth scenarios for Russia

President Dmitry Medvedev last month held an economic meeting that was devoted to the implementation of the Strategy-2020 programs, a policy that was formulated by Vladimir Putin, when he was the country's president.

The meeting was attended by senior government officials, leading industry experts and heads of top economic schools. Specifically, the meeting was devoted to macroeconomics, a key component of the strategy. “I would like to listen to colleagues and their expert opinions on the possible scenarios of strategic development in view of our budgetary frameworks and global issues, including changes in energy prices and other factors that influence our budgetary policies.”
