In February, young Russian entrepreneurs created a Leaders Club, a Moscow-based nonprofit partnership designed to help improve the nation’s investment climate and improve the quality of citizens’ lives, Artem Avetisyan, the director of the New Businesses Department of the Strategic Initiatives Agency (SIA), who was elected the club’s first leader, said. “The club’s membership comprises young people, who are not indifferent to our country’s fate and therefore are ready to use their resources to achieve our stated objectives, which include the elimination of corruption, creation of clear game rules in society and business, etc.” Avetisyan also noted that the Club currently has representatives from 12 Russian regions. “Our nearest major business event will be the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, where we shall actively participate in four round table discussions dedicated to customs legislation, construction permits, energy and goods exportation.”
