Schneider Electric comes first in nationwide companies rating in Russia

Schneider Electric, a global electricity management expert, was named first in a ranking compiled by the independent Russian Economic Activity Classifier in the ‘Wholesale Trade of Industrial Electrical and Electronic Equipment’ category and bagged the status of the ‘Economy Leader in 2011.’ The ranking was conducted almost 650,000 companies and based solely on government agencies’ statistics. This method eliminated ‘accidental companies’ and their CEOs from taking part in the ranking. 

However, the participating companies were evaluated by the following criteria: revenue from the sale of goods, products, services, current assets, gross profit, sales profit, capital and reserve funds balance sheet. Commenting on the winner’s achievement, the ranking compilers noted that Schneider Electric has shown itself to be “a dynamic and cost-effective company that combines a strong position on the market with international standards of financial accountability and transparency, which has a direct impact on Russia’s economic growth.”
