Most Russians support the calls to force bureaucrats to use locally made cars

A majority of citizens (61%) are ready to support the initiative to make bureaucrats use cars made in the Customs Union, according to an opinion poll. The idea was put forward by President-elect Vladimir Putin. If the poll is broken down along party lines, the most vocal supporters of this revolutionary idea were representatives of the Communist Party (71%) and Just Russia Party (70%), while non-parliamentary parties (30%), residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg (each 25%) were against. Responding to a question on whether this rule should be binding on highest state officials, the respondents were divided almost equally (at 41%). The poll took place on April 14-15 among 1,600 respondents and a margin of error of 3.4%
