Opposition activist Alex Navalny has been included in the list of the world’s most influential 100 people by the U.S.-based Time Magazine. The publication linked Navalny’s popularity to social activeness of Russians seeking radical reforms and Internet’s rapid development. However, the Russian tandem members could not make the global elite ranking this year. Navalny gained popularity as a fierce fighter against the ‘Putin regime’ and corruption in state agencies and corporations. He created a portal for accumulating data on officials and state-owned companies’ ‘dirty deeds.’
