Economic Mobility

The Russian government, in conjunction with businesses, must create conditions that will promote economic mobility for Russian citizens, President Dmitry Medvedev said at a Security Council meeting on migration, adding that such policy needs to be enforced first in regions with excess labor force surplus. Also, the government plans to increase the ban on violators of immigration laws from entry Russia from the current five years to 10 years. In this regard, the government has been ordered to prepare a plan within three months on the concept of migration policy till 2025.
