Our Major Events of the Year: The South Ossetia war and the West’s biased reactions

Meaningless War

Acting contrarily to logic, traditions of good neighborliness and the treasured spirit of observing peace during the Olympics, Georgia, under its unpredictable president, attacked a sleeping South Ossetia on August 7, on the eve of the opening of the Beijing Games, with all the offensive weapons at its disposal, most of which were obtained from NATO or its allies such as Ukraine and Israel. Expectedly, Russia resolutely ended the barbaric act, but to the dismay of unbiased observers, the West, headed by the United States and its NATO proteges, condemned Russia for its justified reaction to Georgia’s actions.
