Comprehensive Upgrade 

Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov has approved the new development concept for the Ismailovo Hotel Complex aimed at raising the property built for the 1980 Olympics to a new level of hospitality services. According to the concept, the hotel’s usable area will be increased from 330,500sqm to 483,200sqm, the room stock will go up from 4,860 to 5,050 and parking slots from 588 to 2,023 vehicles. The concept also envisages building a 190-room apartment hotel, a fifth campus and the expansion of the recreational zone to include new restaurants, concert halls and conference and negotiation facilities.
