Kravtsov rejoins PBN from Basic Element and AmCham as vice president

Alexander Kravtsov has joined The PBN Company as corporate vice president and head of client services department.   The PBN Co., with an 18-year track record in Russia, is a leading international strategic communications firm in Russia and the CIS.

The appointment marks a return engagement for Kravtsov, who held senior positions in PBN’s U.S., Russia and Ukraine offices from 1994 to 1998.  Kravtsov’s ‘encore’ engagement at PBN follows two years at Basic Element, where he oversaw the group’s international communications strategy and programs in Asia, Europe and North America, and  prior to that, served as the director of communications at the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) for four years, and at other leading Russian public relations firms.

“We are delighted to welcome Alexander back to PBN in a senior executive capacity,” said PBN’s Chairman & CEO Peter Necarsulmer.  “He is a world class communications practitioner and a pioneer in our profession.  His reputation for integrity combined with his advanced strategic and managerial skills is second to none on this market,” he added. “Having directed successful and complex communications portfolios for many of the region’s leading domestic and foreign business groups, Alexander has unique insights into what international companies need in Russia, and what Russian companies need abroad.”

The PBN Company, both globally and in Moscow, continued to increase its year-on-year revenues and profits during the first five months of 2009, said Necarsulmer. “PBN’s client wins in 2009 include Google, HSBC, Kinross Gold, SABMiller, Visa and the New Economic School, among others,” he noted. “Other longstanding PBN clients include Bank of New York Mellon, BP, Citi, Enel, Ferrero, GazpromNeft, the Institute of Contemporary Development, Merrill Lynch, Motorola, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rosneft, Russkiy Mir, Sony Pictures, Statoil and Xerox.”
