Deceuninck's Russian subsidiary posts strong operations report for 2008

According to the report, the sales volume of Deceuninck Rus grew 16.5% year-on-year to 62mln.euros in 2008. Commenting on the report, Evgeny Yakovlev, the head of Deceuninck Rus’ Sales and Client Support Department, noted that the result showed that Russia accounted for about 10% of the company’s overall turnover of 629.9mln.euros.

The output of the Russian subdivision of the Belgium-based windows and related accessory producing company exceeded 30,000 tons. Such positive performance dynamics were achieved by the Russian subdivision, thanks in parts to the increase of investments into the company’s plant in the Moscow Region. “Last year, 6.5mln.euros were invested in this facility. The company management highly valued the efficiency of the investments and expects to recoup it this year,” Yakovlev said. “In addition, Deceuninck has not changed its investment plans for 2009.

Today, the company’s plant in Protivno is working at 60-70% of its capacity, Yakovlev said. “We are seeing gradual, though slow increase in production upload. The sales and client support department hopes the situation will soon stabilize, as the market and people get psychologically used to the prevailing conditions and increase their demand for the company’s products.”
