Gennady Klimenko, director of Catering
Services at FIGARO Restaurant, talks
about his company and its role in the industry
“We want our brand to be able to start selling
itself because it has the prerequisites to do so, having long been operating on
this market, compared to its competitors.”
FIGARO Catering
Restaurant is a subsidiary of the Corpus Holding, which specializes in the provision
of catering services for large-scale events organizers. However, there is also
a company in the holding that offers other aspects of catering services such as
the provision of corporate meals to companies’ employees. FIGARO began its operations
in 1993, thus becoming the first Russian catering company. Over the past 15 years,
we have executed thousands of successful projects and accumulated huge
experience in the process. Over all these years, FIGARO has been an innovator
and trendsetter in the Russian catering industry.
One of our
major achievements, in my opinion, is the fact that the scale of projects
undertaken by FIGARO is increasing year-on-year, while all our clients’ orders
are executed with only in-house resources — both production facilities and
personnel. A perfect indicator of a catering company’s professionalism is the
ability to execute large-scale events organized in a banquette format, an area,
where FIGARO is a key player. For instance, FIGARO was the first catering company
to organize a banquette for 3,000 guests in 1999 and 6,000 guests in 2006. Our
goal today is to increase our share of the large-scale events market and
maintain our position as the most recognizable brand in the industry.
