Moscow City Hall plans to double the number of hotels in the capital by 2020

Realization of Market Potential According to Moscow Tourism Committee Chairman Grigory Antyufeyev, the city government plans to double the number of hotels in the capital over the next 10 years.

In other words, Moscow will have 535 hotels of different star categories with an aggregated stock of 150,000 rooms by 2020, a figure that will be almost double the current number of 273 hotels with 85,000 rooms in the city. “The official plans envisage opening or reconstruction of 21 hotels with 5,160 rooms in 2010 and 23 hotels with 5,600 rooms in 2011,” he added.
