Formula-1 soon to come to Russia, though to Sochi, and not Moscow

Formula-1 in Sochi

In October, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Formula-One (F-1) chief  Berni Ecclestone signed the long-awaited agreement, which envisages holding the famous F-1 races in the Winter Olympic Games-2014 capital.

Commenting on the agreement, Putin noted that the laying of F-1 tracks in Sochi will give Russian athletes and auto sports in general a modern platform for trainings and hosting other auto races in Russia.

In his turn, Ecclestone noted his satisfaction with the choice of the Olympics city. “Besides, I was also very much impressed with the idea that all the Olympic objects will be used for F-1 events after the Games.”
