Oil Industry Nationalization 

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of LDPR party, who also doubles as the State Duma deputy speaker, does not exclude full nationalization of the Russian oil industry to enable the government restore order over pricing mechanisms. “The oil companies specially hike prices on their products to the consumers’ detriment. If this situation is not stabilized soon, LDPR initiate a legal bill that will authorize the nationalization of Russia’s oil industry,” he added. “This will turn the industry into a state asset, thus enabling the government to control and rein in price hikes for consumers.”
