Multibillionaire business tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov, the newly crowned leader of the Just Cause Party, has set himself an ambitious task of making the party the second largest faction in the State Duma in the upcoming December election. To achieve this, Prokhorov says he is ready to do everything possible, including using his vast wealth and changing the party’s name.
“This is just like in business, with the only difference being that in business, success is measured by capitalization, while in politics, it is judged by the electorate’s votes,” he added. “So, our success will be the number of votes secured in the election. This will be the key criterion of our success.” However, experts are rather reserved, noting that a lot depends on Prokhorov’s organizational and political talents, which, from a political point of view, have their strengths and weaknesses.
