The IBA President & The Imperial Tailoring Co. Owner/CEO, Sammy Kotwani, honored with the prestigious BRICS Award

Sammy Manoj Kotwani, the president of the Indian Business Alliance (IBA) in Russia, who also doubles as the owner/CEO of The Imperial Tailoring Co., a Moscow-based specialist in bespoke design and manufacturing of men's business suits and casual attires amongst others, has been bestowed with the prestigious international honor, The STAR BRICS AWARD, for his active role in fostering friendship and mutual beneficial cooperation among the BRICS+ nations.

Established in 1994 by a group of Indian business executives under the patronage of the Indian Embassy in Russia, the IBA today sees its core mission objective in the protection and promotion of the corporate and other commercial interests of Indian companies in various sectors of the Russian economy. These sectors include pharmaceuticals, engineering, textiles, the chemical industry, metals, sugar, plastics, tourism, and various service industries. The Imperial Tailoring Co.’s modern fashion trends-setting bespoke attires collection includes men's suits, jackets, coats, trousers and shirts, as well as their traditionally complementary style accessories such as ties, cufflinks and shoes amongst others, as per their official corporate websites.

The prize was officially awarded to Kotwani at a special honoring ceremony within the frameworks of the BRICS Grand Ball, a prestigious, multi-day social and business event that features the BRICS Horizons Business Forum, which took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on 23 June. The grand gala, designed to build "ball diplomacy" as an alternative to political confrontation, uniting emerging markets through the universal language of dance and shared cultural exchange, took place on June 24 in the historic Gostiny Dvor neoclassical building in Moscow, featuring a Cosmic Odyssey theme and attracted a colorful gathering, comprising political dignitaries, diplomats, business leaders and social celebrities, offering international business, cultutal and social networking opportunities, as per the grand gala ball organisers and the events attendees amongst others.

Accepting the renowned award, Kotwani said the honor was a great privilege for him. “This is a special and proud moment for me to receive this award, which celebrates friendship, leadership and cooperation across the BRICS+ nations and I’m sincerely grateful for this international recognition," he noted. Kotwani further stated his intention to continue working with even greater inspiration to further strengthen the ongoing Russian-Indian relations and cooperation, both within the bilateral format between Moscow and New Delhi and also within the much broader multilateral format within the BRICS+.
