Skeptical attitude to forecasts on ends of crisis

Rosnano CEO Anatoly Chubais has advised investors and laymen not to trust experts, who claim they know when the present crisis will end, as it is difficult to correctly predict the exact termination dates of global crises. At the same time, he highly rated the anticrisis measures adopted by the Russian government.

“Today, one can note, from the macroeconomic point of view, that all the government’s anticrisis actions, undertaken since September 2008, have been very competent.” Chubais only expects reduction in the ongoing decrease of Russia’s GDP to begin in Q3. The drop in GDP in Q1 total about  9%.
