AZIMUT Hotels Company acquires a stake in Nizhni Novgorod hotel complex

Network Expansion

AZIMUT Hotels Company (AHC), one of the largest Russian hotel chains, has acquired a 12% stake in the Nizhegorodsky hotel complex in Nizhny Novgorod, which, according to the AHC management, is fully compliant with the general strategy for the development of the hotel chain in Russia. In this connection, the AHC management, together with the other Nizhegorodsky shareholders, intends to take an active part in the program for further development of the facility. Specifically, the AHC proposal includes the implementation of the European standards in the property, increasing its room stock, training of employees and boosting job opportunities.

Characterizing the perspectives of investments and work in the hotel complex, AHC CEO Alexander Gendelsman noted that implementation of the adopted development program will raise the hotel to a principally new level that is commensurate with modern hotels for business tourists. “Nizhny Novgorod is a traditional tourist center as well as a center of business tourism in Russia,” he added. “From our point of view, the city has perfect perspectives for the development of hotel business, and we hope for more constructive cooperation with all the shareholders of the hotel complex.”
