Thailand and Russia agree to boost bilateral cooperation in the MICE sphere

The Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) under the auspices of the Russian Trade and Industry Chamber signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in April, thus confirming their determination to foster much deeper cooperation between two countries in the field of MICE services.

The MoU was signed by RTBC Deputy President Vladimir Tokarev and TCEB President Akapol Sorasuchart, who called the step an effective foundation for further strengthening the ongoing cooperation between Russia and Thailand in several directions. “Russia remains Thailand’s largest trading partner in Eastern Europe and our relations remain very close and are based on similarity of our positions,” he added. From the Russian side, Tokarev noted the MoU is another proof of Russia and Thailand’s aspiration toward further economic rapprochement, this time on cooperation on the MICE platform.”
