Russia’s new beauty queen and her rise to the throne
On the front page of this edition, we profiled Natalia Gantimurova, the new face of Russian beauty as the nation's newly crowned Beauty Queen for 2011, for two main reasons. The first is that, we at TRCW, indeed, like most Russians, truly believe that natural beauty, like that of today's Miss Russia, can really save the dangerous, chaotic and crisis-ridden world that we are living in today. The second key reason is to gain a rare insight into the Russian beauty pageant industry, how it functions and what it takes for young girls to win the highly cherished pageant crown and all the opportunities that come with it. |
