By appointing a business ombudsman, the Kremlin has taken a giant step towards ending the inhuman nightmares frequently faced by business owners seen by corrupt bureaucrats as a “cash cow” that can be milked ruthlessly and continuously for personal use. The choice of Boris Titov, a successful entrepreneur and a veteran business lobbyist, as the head of the Delovaya Rossiya business association, who is also on good terms with both the president and prime minster, will, certainly, add more weight to this post.
